Getting Started on Windows

The Windows installer includes Java 21, creates launch shortcuts and registers an uninstaller.

Run the installer

Open the downloaded RightMV EXE and follow the installer prompts. Windows may show a security confirmation because the application was downloaded from the internet.

Start RightMV

Open RightMV from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. The bundled runtime starts the database and web interfaces; no separate Java setup is needed.

Open the terminal

Visit the local terminal in your browser, sign in with the initial md account, and change its bootstrap password immediately.

Open the workspace

Use the development workspace to edit files, inspect data, compile programs and debug active MV BASIC sessions.
